As an Artist, I enjoy working with installations. I find the concept, subject matter, and analysis of the process intriguing, the movement from the traditional method of presenting art to a new perception in which the aesthetic of visual art is not just focused on direct viewing but is enhanced by stimulating different senses. Producing a change of mood and tapping into feelings that influence the ambiance and dynamics of the exhibition and bring sensory perception to the foreground.

In my own practice, I observe societies’ cultural interactions. I study ways to represent those interactions and controversies and how to apply the results in my art practice, by using different types of media in which each separate component plays an artistic role.

The reaction and interaction established between the art piece and the viewer's perception, exploration, and understanding are captivating. In my opinion, this process creates a critical analysis from which I can learn and grow as an artist.

            M. Victoria Casillas.
